Peace is the legacy which Christ gave to his disciples: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you." And after his resurrection, the first time he met with his disciples when assembled together, he said, "Peace be unto you." He gives peace not as the world gives. He is the PRINCE OF PEACE, and his gospel is the "gospel of peace." It is called "the peace of God," because he is its author.

Have you ever had the exprience of feeling alone? Have you ever felt like no one cared? Jesus said he would never leave us alone and yet we do experience loneliness. What can we do?

Today we celebrate His resurrection. He was crucified, died, and rose again.
He ascended to heaven and returned to his heavenly home from which
He will return to earth one day. This time he comes as King!

There is one message that permeates the gospels - Jesus delivers from sin, Satan, and sickness. He did that when he walked the earth and he still does. He never changes. We serve an awesome God.

A simple message with a profound impact. How many times have you seen in movies this message on an old church, storefront building, etc.? This message never outdated. It is always in vogue. It is eternal. It is important. It is critical.

These two words bring up thoughts of restriction or confinement but the exact opposite is true. When I share these two words you will be surprised at the insights we glean about the true meaning and benefits we will incur by embracing them.

What are our priorities? Should worshiping Jesus be number one? What happens is that we may allow other things to intrude, take the place of, and eventually push worship further down the list.

Overcoming fear involves trusting God's Word, but it also involves some action on our part - 'be of good courage' - what does that mean? Does God give us courage or do we have to earn it? Think about it.

In Matthew 9 we read the account of Jesus feeding thousands of people from one lunch. The Word of God states he did it because he was 'moved with compassion' for the people. What does that mean? How could feeling compassion for others result in a miracle? We will investigate this truth today.

We look forward to this New Year with expectations of a great move of God. The Wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing across East Tennessee. Today we will envision what God will lead us to reach for in 2009. Truly, we expect "Glory Divine in 2009" as our God is an awesome God.

Prayer becomes very personal when we understand that saving souls is the bottom line. Your family and friends salvation, healing, deliverance, and spiritual growth is what is at stake. Look at Jesus' ministry and you immediately see he was focused on people, not religion. We must win this war in the heavenlies through worship that is warfare so that we have the anointing to do the battle here on earth for souls.

'Seeing God' changed my life. I don't mean that I saw him with my natural eyes but my spiritual eyes, by faith. Please don't minimize the importance of my assertion just because I used the term 'spiritual eyes' instead of claiming to have seen God in the flesh.

In Isaiah 6, the prophet saw God through the revealing work of the Holy Spirit because up to that point in God's unfolding plan of redemption God revealed Himself to man primarily as Spirit. Jesus is the full revelation of God to man - Immanuel. Jesus died, rose again, and ascended to the Father. Yet he continues to reveal himself to man through the Holy Spirit.

Stephen saw him 'standing on the right hand of the Father', Paul was 'caught up to heaven' , John was in the Spirit on the Lord's day and 'saw Him' - and so it is that even today, God wants to reveal himself to each of us through the inner workings of the person of the Holy Spirit.

You cannot see the wind but you can see the tree branches moving. The evidence of 'Seeing God' then is a change in our character followed by a change in our behavior. Then and only then will others see God in us.
